A strange, otherworldly, yet beautiful creature of a girl who doesn’t quite belong in the world, yet here she is on earth. No one knows quite what to think of her because she’s different. She doesn’t walk, she floats, she doesn’t shine, she glows. She possesses a childlike innocence and naivety like no other; perhaps that’s what makes her different.
Fashion editorial I shot with my friend and muse, Alexzandria. I found these paper star lanterns in San Francisco’s Chinatown and had this shoot concept stuck in my head for months. Inspired loosely by the novel Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. I shot this series on Polaroid and 35mm film to create a dreamy quality.
